it's the End of the World (As We Know it At least)
Life will never be the same here again. Alli has officially started walking. She took her first steps a few weeks ago and has been walking along things like a pro for a while, but this past week she will walk 8-10 or sometimes 12 steps away from you. This morning she was walking along the piano bench and then just took off walking towards her toy a few feet away from it. There was no hesitation from her. I am excited for her and love how determined she is, even if that means she is mad at me for not letting her climb the piano! It is a little bit sad because she is not my "baby" anymore, but it is so much fun I would not want things any different! She is such a climber, two days ago as I was getting ready I looked in our closet and she was standing on top of the step stool with her arms up and a "look, mom" expression on her face. It is so fun to see her pleased with herself and her new tricks. I love it when Ryan gets home each night because he is so excited to see what she can do and play with her. He is such a good dad! She gets such a big smile whenever she sees him.

That is so fun...You have a beautiful baby!!
a climber huh? hopefully she doesn't end up like speedy and breaking a bone at such a young age.
Talk about an early walker! She's going to give you a run for you money. So fun.
I wish that we were there so that we could see her walk. She was trying so hard at Christmas time to do it. It is so fun to watch your kids learn and grow. We still enjoy hearing of our kids accomplishments and the joys that they have as well as our grandkids and their spouses. You guys are great.
holy cow! she is talented! we're still awaiting the day that scott will start crawling. the other day he rolled into the dark kitchen when we were all in the living room and he felt really proud of himself. scott is a bit slow but if we don't compare him to his cousin we feel a bit better. :) good luck with the whole walking thing!
