Memory Game

Memory Lane.... the tag that gets everyone involved

I saw this on a few blogs and I thought it would be fun to hear different memories.

Here's how you play
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory of you. It's actually pretty funny to the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Invites

So we have decided to change our blog so it is private.  Please send me your email address at rabowlerfam@gmail.com so we can invite you and if there is anyone else you think would want to be invited please let them know or send me their address as well.  I have kept it open because I have loved when people have found the blog, but I think I need to change it.  Thanks!

She's getting so big!

Alli is growing up way too fast.  Yesterday I came home from teaching piano and Ryan had taken these pictures of her sitting up by herself.  She can't do it all the time, but sometimes.  I love being a mom and there is nothing else I would rather do.  She is so fun, so frustrating at times, but I love every bit of it.  She is
getting so long and her little legs and arms are so chubby and cute.  I got her three month pictures back last week and am trying to scan them and put them up.  She looks so cute.  I love this little girl so much!!!

Happy Birthday!

Last Wednesday was my birthday.  I turned 22 on the 2nd.  It was such a fun day. Ryan felt good so we went shopping and he totally spoiled me.  Then we took Allison to her first movie (Wall-E) and out to eat with my mom and younger brother.  Then we watched Fool's Gold (which I had been wanting to watch) while we got Alli ready for bed.

Another Happy Birthday- to America.  I have always loved the 4th of July, I don't know if it is because my birthday is so close or what, but I look forward to it.  It was soo nice to be home for it this year instead of by myself somewhere random while Ryan is working.  Ryan was in pain so he didn't go to work (he actually wasn't supposed to drive on the pain meds).  I took Alli to the parade and then he came with us to a birthday barbecue with my family and cousins and then we watched fireworks.  I just love how for one day people think about how great America really is.  I love at the parade when the flag goes by and people actually stand and show respect (I get really frustrated however when people don't).   This is my grandpa holding Alli at the barbecue.

Ouch!

Last Monday Ryan got his wisdom teeth out because before his mission his dentist said they didn't need to come out, but he has had some infections and the best way to solve the problem is taking the teeth out so he went in and had them taken out by an oral surgeon.  Tuesday and Wednesday were fabulous, he took the antibiotic, but didn't need very much pain killer.  He also didn't noticeably swell either.  Thursday he went back to work though and he came home feeling really sick.  Friday morning he woke up in a lot of pain so he ended up not going to work.   Anyway so we call the doc to see what's up and he thinks it is just the nerves coming back and tells us to call if it gets worse.  Saturday and Sunday same thing, lots of pain so we call the doc back Sunday night and he says to come in Monday morning- by now Ryan is out of pain meds. We take him in and sure enough he has dry socket in both bottom holes, but the top two were fine.  They packed the holes full of gauze that had numbing stuff that was supposed to last for 2-3 days, but it wore off last night so he went back in today to get repacked.  Anyway, but he is doing much better and hopefully this gauze will last until he is fully healed.  He did got out and work tonight and got a sale in the few hours so we were very glad since he missed a week of work from the teeth.  I felt so bad for him because he has never had a surgery before and never had an i.v. so this was a totally new experience.  Once they started the i.v. he was out so fast and he kept saying they hit me with something, it is working fast.  Then coming back he kept saying he just wanted to sleep and it felt so good to have his eyes closed.  Surprisingly so cute!   It was pretty crazy to see me usually capable husband all incapacitated with the i.v. and medicines.
