Something Fun to Try
I saw this on someone else's blog and thought it would be fun to try. I am amazed at how many countries there are in the world that you hardly ever hear of. I thought I was at least decent at geography, but it was hard to try to think of all the countries I've heard of, and remember their names in the five minutes. Try it and see how you do56

Goin' to the Temple and They're Gonna Get Married
Well the title should be in past tense because they already are married, but o/well it was all I could think of. Ryan's brother Blake got married so we got to take a quick trip to Idaho. It was a really nice wedding, they look so happy together. We stopped at a park on the way up to eat some lunch and let Alli have a break from the carseat. Alli and Alexa had fun on the swings.
We are excited for Blake and his wife Kelsie! Here's the happy couple coming out of the temple.
Here Alli is with all of the Bowler grandkids with Grandma and Grandpa Bowler.
The next day we went to a park with a fun playground.
I did not feel well at all so I was quite a party pooper, but they still got me a yummy ice cream cake to celebrate my birthday which was the same day as the wedding.
We also got to go to a pool in Pocatello and all the kids had fun playing. The only bad part was that they kept having to close the pool due to contamination. :) Sadly I don't have pictures of the pool so hopefully someone can email the pictures they took and I will put them up.
I think I want a boat when I grow up, or at least a tube!
We also got to go boating one of the days and we had a blast. The babies loved it, maybe not being slathered multiple times with sunscreen and wearing their life jackets the whole time, but they still did great and loved it :) Alli immediately took charge of driving the boat, just to make sure we were safe. She wasn't sure if Scott was fully ready to help her drive so she figured she'd better just take matters into her own hands, alone.
We started off with the tube, thinking that after a while we'd do some waterskiing and wakeboarding, but we never got sick of the tubing so we ended up tubing the whole time.
The guys went first and not surprising, my husband was a little bit of a crazy man.
Then the girls went and the rope connecting the tube to the boat broke so all of a sudden the girls are sinking very quickly into the lake. So this picture is after I climbed back on the tube and my mom and Natalie are swimming back to the boat. Luckily they were able to rig the rope so we could continue our fun.
It got a little bit crazier after that. Ryan went on his own once and tried about every position possible on the tube, and he held on through some pretty sweet air. It was so entertaining to watch, I neglected to get some video. :( Here he is, Mr. Cool, right before the boat starting pulling him. This quickly turned into the best tube trick show I've ever seen.
The babies even got to go on a ride with the mommies, but Alli kind of thought maybe she should go all by herself. She thinks she is pretty big stuff.
And here Ryan and I are on our romantic tube ride. I actually have to say that I stayed on after Ryan got thrown off. These were some pretty intense tube rides, LOVED IT!!!! Ryan jammed his thumb and I thought my neck might break from whiplash, but it was so much fun! And after Ryan got thrown off since I was now the only one on I really didn't know when I was going to touch the water again, I was flying through the air on the tube. It was so much fun!
Family Visit!
The month of June was really fun because we got to celebrate lots of birthdays and see my brother James, his wonderful wife Natalie, and their cute "little" guy Scotty. The only sad part was everyone was together except my brother Bryan, his fabulous wife Annie, and their adorable little girls Julia and Audrey. Just wanted you guys to know that we missed you, but should be coming to see you very soon (and then next time you are coming out hopefully we can spend more time and do lots of fun things)!!! I ha
ve missed my brothers and their wives so much, but am really proud of my brothers for all their hard work with school and their wives for all they have to put up with - being basically single moms in the process! Love you guys!
While James and Natalie and Scott were here we were able to go 4-wheeling one day. It was really nice because we had a canopy with sides so we stayed in the shade and away from most of the bugs. Alli had fun playing with Scott, taking (and ev
en sometimes sharing) his food, eating the dirt, and "driving" the 4-wheeler.
She loved climbing on and as soon as they were unloaded she walked over and wanted to be on it playing with everything.
We had so much fun, it has been awhile since I've been 4-wheeling and there were tons of really cool trails. One was so "cool" that we had to get off and walk our 4-wheeler down part of one hill because it was so steep and slanted-so scary for me! Other than that it was a blast!
We also went to Hogle Zoo. I am a big fan of zoos so I was excited to take Alli and she loved it. She was often heard saying "Was dat" while pointing to various animals or objects.
Some of the poor animals may never recover from her visit as try as I may to prevent/stop it, she loved to pound on the glass! She got especially excited by anything resembling a cat and this weird porcupine relative.
Once again Scott and Alli were partners in crime walking all over the place. I think this picture, sadly, is after Alli poked Scott in the eye. I'm pretty sure it was an accident. :)
BrynnLynn is a little more mild and stayed in her stroller, what a cute little girl. Blake and Tanner were so cute with her, they would play with her and talk to her.
Alli and I petted a tortoise and she wasn't quite sure what it was, but she was pretty intrigued by it. One of our favorite spots was the playground area. Alli had a lot of fun examining the alligator (or crocodile, I still can't quite tell them apart), coming down the snake slide, and climbing through the tortoise shell.
