Funny little friend

I am not organizing the pictures where they are supposed to go, at least not right now. And the videos are just going to be wherever they are, maybe I'll add a caption under them???
Two posts in one day, pretty crazy, especially since I haven't posted in like a month. But Alli has just been so funny tonight and I wanted to record all her funny little things she says lately before I forget. It isn't anything too exciting, but she makes me laugh and I want to remember the funny random things about her at this age.
A little sidenote-Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE the medical field, I was set on being a doctor before one of my wonderful brothers reminded me that after going through medical school I wouldn't really want to stay home with my kids and that is my most important job as a mom so I changed my mind (so thankful for him being willing to talk to me about this) and decided on being a Nurse Anesthetist, well anyway I ended up changing my major in college to teaching elementary school which I absolutely loved and am so glad I did, but I still have an insane interest in the medical field. Well occasionally that desire will come back up and I've thought about going back to school and getting a nursing degree on multiple occasions, but each time I decide that it really just is not worth the cost of all the things I would miss at home. -
I am so thankful to be able to stay home and play with my funny, crazy, sweet, loving little girl. She is constantly amazing me with the things she learns and comes up with. I know everyone reading this has had some dream or some plan for their life that hasn't worked out how they thought it would, but the reality is, that's life. Things don't always go how you plan or how you hope. Even though I would love to work in an ER somewhere, there is no way I'd want to be gone for nights like tonight (or any night really) when Alli is dressed up in her Halloween costume 4 months after the fact (the bumblebee over the "jam jams" number) or for when she is sleeping half way off the couch (some night last week) or for when she decides she wants to play in the cradle or even better while Ryan was at scouts I got to be the baby in the cradle (only my top half fit, it would have been super entertaining watching me figure out how to fit some part of me in here without breaking the whole thing) or when she wants to be a dolphin and get flipped (she created that and I was trying so hard to figure out how she pretended to be a dolphin-no idea where the idea came from). She loves dancing and her favorite songs are "Gonna Be a Good Night"-Black Eyed Peas ("do it" as she requests it) and Down by Jay Sean (down down down when she asks for it) She will also surprise us and randomly ask for a dress when she is dancing. Turns out she wants one of her church dresses to dance in. Guess she figures that you dance better when you're in a pretty dress??? Tonight she picked a dress that has a jacket over it and kept referring to the jacket as the "jack jack." She decided her pajamas are actually "jam jams." It's not the greatest video, but it's what we got randomly tonight as I was changing her from her dress to her pajamas.

Alli loves telling us when there is a "mess" is someone has spilled, and lots of times will randomly start saying/singing the clean up song and put things away (probably not always in the right places, but we'll take it). She informed Ryan while he was lifting "I wan a tern" and is great at asking you to stop something she doesn't like. She will say "lay no" when she wants you to lay down. And when I laid down she climbed on and said "oh no" so I told her she was stuck which made me giggle and ask "again?" so she became "stuck" many more times which were just as funny to her as the first time. I feel so lucky to have such a smart, curious, fun, happy little friend to go everywhere with me and I love how everything is so exciting to her. She makes EVERY day (even the tough ones) so worthwhile just because of her cute little voice and the funny little sayings she tells me frequently. I love the way she acts like a little adult half the time when she answers your questions (often the answer is prefaced by an umm while she thinks for a second, most often she answers yeah to anything you say) or sings her little songs (I hear twinkle twinkle often and I love it). Watercolors are a favorite activity, along with any sort of coloring or fingerpainting.

She loves to "hide" and as soon as she hears the garage door open start opening when Ryan gets home she wants to hide so he can come find us, which always ends up needing to be done again and again. She will tell us when she wants us to be "all done" with something. She will sometimes tell me when she is "tire" (tired), "nakin" (naked) or needs something "yipped" (zipped-we found a rolly backpack which she loves and calls her pack pack, but it has pockets that need zipping lots). She loves exclaiming "I dry" whether she is or not :) She wants the lights on in her room before she goes in and will come ask for them on. Today as she walked outside she told me she needed a kiss. She loves to say prayers and help us say them. She is growing up so fast and changing so much, I love watching her make decisions (as much as she makes decisions, come on she's not even two) about things she wants or doesn't want. She is such a sweet little girl with sweet little feelings (who gets so concerned when someone is sad and will ask if they are sad) who wants to make others around her happy, but she is a tough determined little lady at the same time. I feel so blessed to be reminded to just enjoy all the little moments, because as one of my most favorite friends quoted on her blog today "Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow is yet to come. We have only today" and I can't ever get these little moments back so if you read this whole way thanks for giving me some of your time while I try to record a small part of my memories of my best little friend how she is right now.

Pictures

So a couple weeks ago I got a call from JCPenneys (where I had Alli's 3 month pictures taken by a friend) and they are doing a "promotion" training some of their photographers on some new things. So I got a free sitting fee and a free 8 x 10 and half off my purchase. (I'm pretty sure I have a gazillion coupons from them for free sitting fees and free pictures but whatev). So if you are interested, here's the link to go see the pictures. The only thing I didn't like is I didn't want to pay for the c.d. so I just ordered a bunch of pictures. The pictures in the link are the ones I had to choose from, not my whole order :) Some are super cute, some are cute, but I figured this was probably the easiest way to share so here it is.

Go to the link and enter "Amanda Bowler" as the customer name. We had some super cute family pictures taken last Fall but since kids change so fast it was fun to get a few more pictures of our sweet little Alli girl.
