You Scared Me Mom!

I have to record this because it made me laugh soo hard to see the look on Alli's face. Lately she LOVES playing in her closet because that is where her shoes are so she will go get some shoes and come walking out with them.  Well she also loves climbing the stairs and will get to the top, play in the loft and then come tell me when she is ready to come down (she isn't quite as confident in the descending abilities, although she can do it). I could hear her playing so I went to find her and I was crawling over (don't envision this please, I am sure you have all crawled on the floor to play with a child) and she walked out of her closet, looked over and saw me, but she obviously wasn't expecting it and she literally jumped . Then she proceeded to walk to the other side of her room before coming out and when she did she gave me the cheesiest grin ever. Her little personality always makes me laugh! She will also make the surprised face when you sneak up on her, but she always laughs after, I think she thinks it is funny to get "scared." When she walked over to where I was laughing she just kept giving me her cheeser grin like she was soo funny! She entertains me all day! While typing this she went and played in the toilet water so we had to wash her hands really well and now she is playing with a lightsaber.   She was looking down at the ground so I just "roared" at her, and she jumped again and gave me this big smile before backing away very slowly, smiling the whole time and giving me this funny look.  The fun never ends!  I have been meaning to post about this for a while too, but I have really slacked lately.  Another of Alli's favorite things is music-it really doesn't matter the source whether it's dad's cell phone, a musical Valentine's Day envelope and the high school band and her uncle's basketball games.  She especially loved the band and the bball games in general.  She likes watching daddy play and claps and cheers, but the band just makes everything more excited so when they would start playing she would "lead" the music and get the biggest smile on her face.  We had a lot of fun watching his basketball games and are so glad he played so well!

She also likes to "feed" herself at times and sometimes is fairly good at getting the spoon to her mouth.

One Sunday morning a few weeks ago we were making breakfast and pretty soon this is what we found:

She had decided to take matters into her own hands and soon was walking around with the bottle of soy sauce.

Cousin Visits!

In February we had some exciting visits from Scotty boy and Julia and Audrey! It was so much fun to see them and hopefully (we are trying to convince daddy!) we will be able to go visit them sometime soon.  So here are some fun pictures of their visits.  Thanks so much for coming to visit us, we can't wait until we all live closer together so we can get together and play more! Scotty still wasn't quite sure what to make of Alli who is pretty much crazy and she didn't know what to think of another baby being around since she is usually the only one.  They were so funny in the tub together because they kept trying to take toys from each other.

Alli loved Julia, and Julia was such a good helper to make sure Alli didn't pull the t.v. down on top of her while Julia was watching a movie and to share her ice cream with Alli.  I think Alli was a little jealous of Audrey's hair since she is still on the balding side, so she kept grabbing at it, and she decided that since Audrey had all of that hair she obviously did not need her book so Alli ripped it in half-I am still so sorry Annie-maybe we can make it up by coming to visit :)  Anyway, we had so much fun seeing these cousins and of course their wonderful mothers! So glad my brothers married you both so I could have you as sisters! Love ya!

1 year!

I can't believe Alli is one year old already.  It is fun looking back at the pictures of her right after she was born and seeing how much she has changed.  I had to document the things she likes to do now as a "grown up" 1 year old. She loves to joke with you and loves laughing. She will tease you with food or a toy and loves attention.  She has such a ready smile and loves to make you smile back at her.  She babbles and jabbers tons and makes a whole variety of sounds.  She will take the cell phone from you or if that isn't around she will use her hand or a t.v. remote to hold up like a phone-apparently she has a good example of talking on the phone :) She loves to clap, especially when she hears music and loves waving and blowing kisses.  She will also pat you on the back or at times a stuffed animal gets loves as well.  She walks all over the place and is pretty quick now.  She loves food, especially if it is grown up food that mom and dad are eating.  She has a thing for stuffed animals and at times will walk around with one in each hand.  Along with the fuzzy creatures, she LOVES purses and drags mom's around the house regularly.  She makes the funniest face when she sticks her lip out like a frown, but it is so far out and she doesn't even have to be sad.  She loves having books read to her and her favorites are Caterpillar Spring, Butterfly Summer, B is for Bear (a touchy feely book), and her animal A to Z book.  She loves other babies and little kids and gets so excited when she sees them whether a picture or in real life.  She has such a friendly, curious, loving, and determined personality and is so fun and funny. I love her so much and am so glad she is part of our family!

Birthday Girl!

So here are some pictures of Alli's birthday party.  I can't believe my little girl is already one, this year has gone by so fast! More pictures to come. I have been a real slacker lately, but I think I am ready to post about everything that has happened. Since I am so far behind I figured I will start with now and work backwards.  So the first video is everyone singing "Happy Birthday " and you can see how Alli just can not wait to start getting her cake and the second one is the beginning of the cake eating.  She seriously could not get enough of the stuff! It was so cute watching her.  We had blown up some balloons and all the kids had so much fun playing with them. It was a fun party, thank you to everyone who came!
