Snow Angels

A couple weeks ago we got about 16-18 inches of snow in 2 days. It was great! The roads were not so cool, but the first day Alli and I had a lot of fun playing in the snow. So here she is all bundled up (notice the snow suit is a little bit short, but it's actually from last year, but we bought it big hoping it'd work for this winter. With the boots it all seemed to work well enough for one day, but I think we'll be needing a new suit :) ).

Just standing in the snow in our yard.

Not too thrilled with mom for "throwing" her in the snow to do a snow angel. Can't say I blame her, I like playing in the snow, but not actually laying in the snow.

After we finished "helping" daddy shovel the driveway the next morning Alli wanted to go for a walk so-being the crazy mom that I am-we went for a walk. It was great until on the way back up the hill when I had to pull the stroller because of the wind/snow coming down. Alli wasn't too keen on it in her face, and it was easier to pull the stroller through the snow than push it. She was soo good though, no complaining. I'd ask if she was cold and finally at the very end she said was cold and she wanted to be home and a bath :) -this is when we were going a direction that snow was coming sideways so I couldn't shield her face so she had snow falling on her sweet little face- I was super impressed with her determined little personality, she wanted to be out playing in the snow so nothing was going to stop her.

Gingerbread Houses

One of my favorite things about Christmas time is decorating Gingerbread houses. I love having all the candy out and being able to do whatever you want decorating all the different parts of the house and gingerbread "yard." Alli mostly loved eating all the candy that was out for the decorating (or in her case out for the eating). She also really loved devouring our house piece by piece the next morning. So here she is angry with me for interrupting her candy spree.

Then carefully choosing her next piece

And now-happy with her treats again

Matchy-Matchy and Dress-up

One Sunday I got myself and Alli all dressed (I still look pretty frumpy though, not gonna lie-wasn't a great Sunday apparently, I hate picking out what to wear to church:0) earlier in the morning and then Alli spilled or somehow messed up her outfit so I changed her into something else-and completely by accident we ended up completely matching! I thought it was pretty funny, often we'll end up in the same color or something I think that happens a lot to moms, but this was a little beyond that.

One random day I came into the living room to find that Alli had moved our lap top from it's stand so she could put her lap top in its "rightful" place. Made me laugh that she thinks she is super grown up and needs to do everything we do.

Now for dressup-
Starting with Ryan-we found a great deal on some pants so we bought me a couple pairs-and that night Ryan decided he'd try them on. One time while we were at Ryan's parents' house he wanted to see if he could fit in my pants. So I gave him my tightest pair I had with me and he totally still fit in them, I don't know if he could totally do up the fly, but the legs were baggy-can we say Ryan has skinny legs!!! Apparently his legs have gotten bigger since then or I've gotten smaller because this time the pants were not baggy at all-but he can still "fit" in them. We got a pretty good laugh out of this so I had to share it so I remember it.

Lastly, Ryan and I found this cowgirl dressup outfit super clearanced after Halloween so we got it as a dressup outfit for Alli. We kind of forgot about it so about two weeks ago we saw it and decided to let her play in it. She absolutely loved it. As soon as she saw it (it's actually pretty ghetto looking, but it provided some great entertainment) she got this "oh" look on her face and was super excited to wear it-funky fringed arm bands and everything. Then we found her stick pony (that I found at the dollar store-awesome) and she was all set. She started giving us these big "cheeser" grins and then proceeded to climb up on the couch to strike a pose. Ryan and I were laughing soo hard and our little cowgirl model. She's already figuring out how to work the camera. (Notice how incredibly short the dress is-yep that would be our tall little girl-I love it!) I love the cheeser grin, but I'd really like to get a pic with her natural smile- I love that one soo much more! o/well take what you can get right?

And I saw this video of her doing a funny dance in her crazy outfit. So here you go

It's About Time

I really have needed to update this for a long time, but it's always just more fun to see what everyone else is doing. I think I have quite a few posts to catch up on so there may be quite a few in a row here. We've been having a ton of fun decorating gingerbread houses, playing in the snow, going to concerts and playing dress-up.
