102nd post-

(Sorry the picture is really blurry!)
So apparently I missed the 100th post, but it is crazy to think I've written that many entries! And since probably 100 of those 102 posts have been about Alli it should be no surprise that this one is also pretty much all about Alli. Since last Tuesday night she has been sick-like high fever, body aches, throwing up- the works. Luckily the fever and body aches were pretty much gone by Friday, but the throw up lasted till yesterday and we are still working on solidifying the other end. Poor girl, and poor me-I've never had so much throw up on me in my entire life. It would just keep coming and coming a few times each day no matter what she ate or drank-even water once or twice. BUT she seems to be all better now. Like I said no throwing up since yesterday morning and only 1 disgusting diaper (like the worst of her life, by far! I about threw up with each of these the past few days and I usually am completely fine with messy diapers) yesterday and today. So before this plagued her and since the fever and aches have gone her little personality has come in full force.
So last week we made some pizza dough and this was her contribution-after the dough was out she dumped the bowl on her head and used it as a hat:)

Then today I was cleaning out her room, taking the changing table downstairs, rearranging everything, and putting some new things up on the wall. She was very helpful obviously, and decided she wanted to eat her snack on the changing pad on the changing table and I thought it was too funny not to record.

After Ryan got home she was in the bouncersaucer and she was going crazy bouncing and thinking it was the best thing ever so-here's a video, it's not the greatest video, we were a little slow getting it so she's kind of winding down here, but you get the idea.

Then during dinner we said the prayer and in the middle she started playing peek-a-boo until Ryan said he was thankful for our reverence in the prayer and she promptly folded her arms and bowed her head again. Then her plastic toy dog must have been really thirsty because she did her thirsty sign (panting) for him to get a drink for all three of our cups. And now as I write this she is painting my toenails with a random tube of lipgloss that she found. She must have thought the wand was the brush. And tonight as Ryan lifted downstairs she wanted to "jump" on the pullup bar cause it has a thing that you can kneel on to help you do pullup ups and she was shaking and dancing and jumping holding on to the handles on the sides. There really is never a dull moment with her around. She is talking much more clearly and says so many new words everyday. Some that seemed pretty clear today are rice and chicken since that is what we were having for dinner. She says lots of words, I will have to pay attention and try to write down the new ones. She is getting so she can kind of have a conversation, which is really fun, especially when she talks on the phone. I absolutely love her, even though she is starting to get some "attitude" so as soon as you tell her not to do something she grins impishly and tries to do it as fast as she can. Quite the little stinker at times, but then she is just too darn cute not to forgive. Being a mom is so tough emotionally and physically at times, but it is also the funnest, most rewarding thing ever! What a blessing these little children we get are, they teach us how to truly love unconditionally with everyone around us because that is how we love them!
* This morning she got so excited to hear see the school bus outside and kept saying bus. I thought it was cute so I wanted it in here, and yesterday and today she's been pretty excited to show me spoons and tell me what they are-kind of random. And she has discovered pockets on her clothes and other people's clothes and loves to put her hand (or on her clothes part of her hand) in them.

Halloween

This year Halloween was so much fun! Between carving pumpkins, dressing up, and trick or treating, we had a great time! Alli got to wear her costume a few times for my mom's school party, the city trick-or-treat, and then going around our neighborhood. She didn't really get into the pumpkin carving, but Ryan and I had a good time. She did like going around getting candy. She would look in her purse in amazement at the loot she had and I think she was really wondering why she was able to keep so much candy at one time! The first few houses she didn't really get it, but after that she was ready to go and was so cute saying trick treat. Ryan and I debated if we should dress up or not, but we figured we had the costumes and why not after all, life can't be serious all the time-ya gotta let down at times so our Hippie costumes were fitting :) Earlier in the day (since it was nice weather) Ryan finished filling our flower bed/retaining wall that we built this summer so I could finish planting my bulbs. It looks so nice! He did such a good job-7 wheelbarrows full of dirt that he hauled for me yesterday! Alli was so pooped from all the fun during the day between the working outside (she had to help Ryan), the family party, the city trick-or-treat, and going around our neighborhood that by the time we headed over to a friends' house for a party she crashed on the way over and slept through the entire thing (and there were quite a few people and kids so it wasn't quiet), slept all the way home and all night-so probably about 13 hours!

Here Alli is post trick-or-treating while we hurried to light the pumpkins before too many people had come by. She loved the fact that there was a whole bowl of candy just sitting there and in this pic I think she is getting her share of our candy before we started handing it out.

I also had to take a pic of the food at my mom's Halloween party because it was soo good and there was so much of it. Seriously we had apples and caramel dip, veggies and dip, and delicious fresh tacos with fresh tortillas and all the fixins, and these cupcakes we've had every Halloween since I was little-thanks Mom!
Well also this week we had our first snowfall of the year. At first Alli really didn't know what it was, but after I caught some in my hand she thought it was pretty cool. At first she called it nos, the s before the n was hard, but now she can say ssssno. so cute! It was right when she woke up so we just bundled her up and took her out (if you are wondering about the pjs in the pic).

and just cause I saw this picture and thought it was cute-here ya go:
