This has taken me a long time to finally put up, but last weekend (over Labor day) we went to Yellowstone with Ryan's brother Colin and his family. We were hoping their whole family would be able to go, but it ended up just being us and his brothers' family. We had a lot of fun hanging out and seeing all the cool stuff. They had gone in July so they showed us all the best things including Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, more Hot Pots, the Paint pots, and more that I can't remember the names of. We were hoping to see some bears and wolves, but try as we may we saw lots of buffalo, some elk, a mountain goat (which was really cool), a bald eagle, and an osprey. We tried fishing, but found that Yellowstone must be over-fished as they did not have much luck. The food was great (thanks to Colin and Cori's extensive camping experience, without them meals would have been very simple!) and the weather was really nice until the last night so we packed up camp in about 45 minutes and had a "sleepover" at their house in Rexburg. Alli did really well, but she was glad to wake up Monday morning at their house! They were so nice to show us everything and to teach me and Ryan more about camping. We learned that camping (especially with kids) is an art that they had mastered and we need a lot more practice!!! Thanks again guys for such a great vacation!

Looks like a blast. Did Ali stay warm enough at night? She is getting to be so big.
Wow sounds so fun! I love camping and we didn't get to it nearly as much as we wanted either. Bryce loves Yellowstone! Glad it was successful! I miss seeing you around but I am sure you don't miss the pressures of school too much!
Man you beat me to it, I have been meaning to get a post up. Ryan I am so impressed with the goat picture. You would never know that the goat was far away ( a speck on a mountain, really)! We had alot of fun, I loved seeing colin and ryan hang out. We have never lived close to his brothers and i know that he wishes he could, maybe some day! And it's an added bonus that Amanda and I have such a good time together!! Thanks so much for coming up it really meant a lot to us. ANd thanks for being such good sports when it comes to our crazy kids, but they sure adore you guys!!
Alli did great. She was a trooper, but the first night she ended up sleeping with us. The second night it was warm enough she was plenty warm in her pack 'n' play and the last night she slept in Colin and Cori's house so for the most part she was warm enough, but I felt bad that first night when she woke up and her little hands were so cold!
I'm glad you guys had fun. We still wish we could have made it!
